1) To key in the debit or credit amount of Last Accounting Year

The amounts stated in Last Accounting Year (Trial Balance – i.e Balance Sheet and
Profit & Loss) are classifed as Opening Balance Figures in this current year.

a) Trade Debtor Control (eg account code is 3000/000)

– no need to fill amount at Trade Debtor Control (code 3000/000) i.e zero.

– but must enter the b/f opening amount for each debtor.

– all the opening amount of every debtors = total at Trade Debtor Control.

The amount of each debtor will auto captured in the Debtors Last Year Ageing.

The details of opening amount for every debtor has to be filled in Maintain B/F Bills.

b) Trade Creditor Control

– no need to fill amount at Trade Creditor Control (code 4000/000) i.e zero.

– but must enter the b/f opening amount for each creditor.

The amount of each creditor will auto captured in the Creditors Last Year Ageing.

The details of opening amount for every creditor has to be filled in Maintain B/F Bills.

All the opening amount of every creditor = total at Trade Creditor Control.

2) To lock or unlock Opening Balance

Administrator has to key in every amount stated in the Balance Sheet (B/S items only)

4) To enter Foreign Currency Opening Balance (if applicable)

Administrator has to key in every foreign amount stated in the Balance Sheet.

5) To enter Last Year Figure (Trial Balance)

Administrator has to key in the amount for every item in the Trial Balance.

The Trial Balance consists of Balance Sheet items and Profit & Loss items.

The retained earning amount in “Enter Last Year Figure” will be as follows :-

Eg Last Year Retained Earning (at Opening Balance) = $ 600.00

Last Year Profit (at Profit & Loss) = $ 350.00

So Previous Year Retained Earning (at Last Year Figure) = $250.00

Retained Earning amount at Debit column is a loss,
Retained Earning amount at Credit column is a gain.

6) To print Opening Balance & Figure

Next Bank Reconciliation ( Receive & Payment)
